The City of Russell will allow open burning for a two week period starting April 19th. Residents will be allowed to burn from 7am to 7pm. The cost of a permit for open burning is $10. Residents can obtain a permit at the City Building. After an inspection of the property by the Fire Chief the permit may be approved. Strict guidelines will be reviewed for safe burning. Residents will not be able to burn tires, pallets, railroad or bridge lumber, treated lumber, plastics or rubber.
