The City of Russell Municipal Airport is located about 2 miles east of the City on U.S. Business Highway 40. The phone for the airport is 785-483-6911.
The airport features a 5500’ X 75’ concrete main runway that was constructed in 2005. This runway features medium intensity radio controlled runway lights, (MIRL), along with Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) system and Runway End Indicator Lights, (REIL). 1602’ crosswind turf runway is also available.
In 2006-2007 the taxiways and aircraft parking ramp were completely removed and replace with concrete pavement.
FBO service is available on the airport with aircraft repair and 100LL aviation fuel available.
A courtesy car is also available at the airport.
