

The Russell Ride, Russell’s local public transit system, offers safe and affordable transportation with handicap accessibility to any location in the city limits of Russell.
Monday through Friday: 8:30 am to 6:00 p.m. & Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
$1 for each one-way ride. A card with 25 rides at a cost of $22.00 may be purchased from the transit bus driver or the City Clerk’s Office located at 133 W 8th Street.
The transportation program is made possible thanks to a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation and revenue from City of Russell property tax.
In 2006 a total of 13,883 rides were provided. 58% of those passengers were general public, 31% elderly, and 11% were disabled. The bus drove 23,302 miles.
Ride destinations include going to retail stores, medical facilities, jobs, banks, schools, post office, Senior Center, and other facilities.
