Building/Inspection/Enforcement

This department is responsible for many activities throughout the City of Russell.  Some of those responsibilities include the following:

• Review plans for building code compliance for new construction and remodels.
• Issue building permits
• Provide licensing to contractors
• Perform inspections for construction projects
• Enforce general nuisances according to the City of Russell’s Code of Ordinances
• Provide information to the general public concerning zoning, planning, codes, and permits
