Special Weather Statement

The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for an area that includes the City of Russell. Strong storms will impact Russell County with wind gusts up to 50 mph and half-inch hail.

Gusty wind can knock down trees limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects and power outages are possible. Please take precautionary actions. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building until the storms pass. Please monitor your weather radio, local media such as KRSL radio.
