Special Weather Statement - Strong Thunderstorm

A Special Weather Statement has been issued for our area. A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of western Russell County through 3:30 pm. Hazards include wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Torrential rain fall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding.
