Pickleball Courts Open for Play
The City of Russell is excited to announce two pickleball courts are now available for play in the Memorial Park Sports Complex. At the direction of City Council and through community input and collaborative financial support from Russell Development, Inc., an existing tennis court has been converted into two pickleball courts.
The northwest tennis court has new painted boundary lines, posts and netting to accommodate pickleball play. As one of the fastest-growing sports in the nation, Pickleball offers a family-friendly game that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.
The pickleball courts are now available for play beginning today Thursday April 25, 2024 from dawn to midnight. We encourage our community to get out and enjoy all of the amenities our City parks have to offer.
