[ARCHIVED] Sanitation Routes Altered

City of Russell offices will be closed Thursday, November 25th, and Friday, November 26th, observance of Thanksgiving.

Sanitation routes usually serviced on Thursday and Friday will be serviced the following Monday or Tuesday.  Heavy volumes of trash will be expected on Monday and Tuesday.  Please make sure your poly-carts are out by 8 a.m., considering that the sanitation trucks have no set time for pickup throughout the day.

The recycling trailer, located at 236 E. 9th Street, continues to be available for use 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Recyclable items that can be placed in the trailer include glass, aluminum, tin, and plastics #1 thru #7.  Please make sure these items are rinsed and placed in the appropriate bin.   No trash will be accepted.

Paper, magazines, and cardboard will only be accepted at the Recycling Center, 337 E. 9th Street, during regular business hours.

City of Russell customers that may have any questions regarding this notice should contact the Street Department at 785.483.2190.
