Niki Musgrove Selected as the Russell Community Impact Award Winner for October 2025
The Russell Community Impact Award Committee is pleased to announce Niki Musgrove as the distinguished recipient of the October 2025 Russell Community Impact Award. This award recognizes individuals, businesses, or organizations whose exceptional contributions have significantly enriched the fabric of the Russell community.
Niki's nomination describes her as a person who exemplifies the true spirit of community service and kindness through her dedication to making Russell a better place. Through the summer, Niki was often shown volunteering her time mowing right-of-ways and weeding flowerbeds to spruce up our community entrances.
Niki's initiative to help others was also displayed through her efforts to ensure that students had the supplies necessary to start off their school year. She began a fundraiser to purchase and supply school supply kits to families in need in our community.
Niki's nomination goes on to describe that her actions reflect a remarkable sense of initiative and compassion; she consistently puts others first, often working quietly behind the scenes without seeking recognition. Her dedication inspires those around her and reminds us all of the power of community-mindedness. Thank you, Niki, for your contributions to our community!
As the winner of the Russell Community Impact Award, Mike and Kathy received a $250 donation to the non-profit of their choice. Niki chose the Russell Play Park as the recipient. Mayor Jim Cross and KRSL/KZRS Russell Radio Representative Erik Stone presented Niki with a $250 check at the December 2, 2025, city council meeting.
