Shayla Peck has been employed with the City of Russell since 2021. She was appointed to City Treasurer in March of 2023. Shayla previously served as City Cashier in the Clerk’s Department.
Shayla was born and raised in Russell, graduated from Russell High School and attended Fort Hays State University, where in 2012, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting Degree. She has financial accounting and management experience in the private and public sectors.
Shayla is an active member of St. John Lutheran Church and has been the church bookkeeper since 2019. She is married to Dustin Peck, with whom she has three beautiful girls – Reece, Alana and Beckett.
