Shannon Trevethan has been serving as the Executive Director of the Deines Cultural Center for eleven years.
Shannon is passionate about promoting art within the Russell community. As Director, she works towards connecting artists with art enthusiasts in Russell. Shannon is committed to showcasing artwork by local artists in addition to inviting artists from other parts of Kansas and beyond to exhibit in the Deines galleries.
Shannon graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, focusing on oil painting and museum studies. She is a member of the Society of Layerists in Multi-Media and frequently exhibits her artwork in several cities across Kansas.
Shannon has lived in Russell with her husband, Ian, and daughter, Hannah, for fourteen years.
