Dylan Riedel has been promoted to Fire Chief for the City of Russell. Riedel has been serving on the Russell City Fire Department since 2010 and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant.
Riedel’s certifications include; Firefighter 1 & 2, Driver / Pumper Operator, Aerial Operator, Hazmat Operations, and EMT. Riedel also manages the Russell City Fire Department Explorers’ Program.
Riedel is a life-long Kansan, and has grown up in Russell. He attended Fort Hays State University and earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with certificates in police work and corrections.
Riedel is very active in the Russell community. He is a member of and serves as a youth leader at Trinity United Methodist Church. He is involved with the Russell Masonic Lodge and co-chair of the haunted house committee. Riedel is also a coach for the Russell High School Girl’s tennis team.
